Growing too fast

Mady had her 9 month well baby check up yesterday. Everything is looking great!! Her weight gain has slowed a bit, she is only 20 lbs, but she is still very tall at 29 inches long!! She was rather skeptical of her doctor this time, I'm not sure if its the stranger phase she is going through or the fact that she is used to getting shots there that turned her off.

Our little girl is doing new things all the time now. It seems like everyday she accomplishes a new milestone. For a baby that doesn't technically "crawl" she sure can get from one place to another pretty well. Right now she uses a combination of army crawling, pivoting on her belly, and scooting backwards to get where she wants to go.

She has also started clapping - which is pretty cute! Daddy doesn't like it very much because she usually starts clapping when he is trying to feed her dinner and it makes quite the mess. Speaking of food - Mady is trying all sorts of new things. She is a big fan of pancakes, grilled cheese, steamed veggies, puffs, mum mums, meat sticks, yogurt, and all types of fruit. We are so happy that she likes a variety of foods!
