Spaghetti and Easter

Mady had her first taste of spaghetti this past week - it was a big hit!!!
She really enjoyed playing with the noodles and made quite the mess -
we went straight to the bath tub after dinner!

Mmmmm...spaghetti is good.
Noodles, noodles, everywhere!

Mady also got to celebrate her first Easter - she was very excited about her basket. She is crawling non stop now and on Easter morning we let her "discover" her basket. Once she came around the chair and saw it sitting on the floor she took off!! Jeremy and I were laughing so hard, we had never seen her crawl so fast to something before!

First Easter - April 2009
Look at all the good stuff the Easter bunny left me!

Mady also got an Easter basket from her Gigi. I don't know who was more excited - Mady or her Daddy. He's a sucker for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.Mady looked like such a big girl in her Easter dress.
Here she is showing off her cruising skills. The shoes and socks never last long on her feet!Stacey and I took the girls to Zona Rosa for their Easter festivities.
Mady was happy to get outside in the sun!
Ava was very intrigued with the fountain - she even posed for a picture with it! She is getting to be such a big girl!!
Its hard to believe that our little girl will be 11 months old this week. We are both so excited to celebrate her first birthday next month, but sad that our little baby is well on her way to being a toddler!!

Madelynn has been a busy little girl lately. This weekend she got to meet the Easter Bunny!! At first she was a bit skeptical of Mr. Bunny, but eventually warmed up to him long enough for us to get a good picture. Yes we probably paid too much money for this picture, but like Jeremy says, the pictures are a rite of passage. (click on the pictures to make them bigger)

We also had a little photo shoot on Friday night. After an uneventful trip to the grocery store, Miss Mady decided that she would rather play than get ready for bed. We had a good time playing with the toys in her room and getting into mischief!

This is the hat Mady wore when she was born.
I would say its a bit on the small side now!

Mady discovered her huge collection of headbands.
Unfortunately she doesn't really enjoy wearing them as
much as Mommy wishes she did.

This picture is for Aunt Stacey :)
Doesn't she look like a big girl pushing her stroller?

Comforting her "baby".

This is Mady's favorite toy in the kitchen - measuring spoons.

Mady is really starting to get into crawling. This weekend she followed me from the kitchen all the way back to our bedroom. She was so proud of herself!

Pit stop - must have found something to put in her mouth.
We spend a lot of our free time vacuuming now :)

Its hard to believe that our little girl will be turning one next month. It will be a busy month for us - lots of important events coming up!! We have a bridal shower, a baby shower, lots of birthdays, a wedding, our anniversary, family photos with the Solars, and then finally our first Family Vacation!!!

On top of it all, Jeremy and I are in the process of looking for our first home. Its a scary journey for us both, but we are really excited to find a place to call our own!!
