Cupcake Party

We celebrated Madeylnn's first birthday this past weekend - it was a lot of fun and we were very happy to be surrounded by all of our friends and family. Mady's party had a cupcake theme and thanks to a friend on the RB board it turned out perfect!

I LOVED the invite!!

The birthday girl posing with Mommy.
The Happy Birthday banner I made :)
A close up of the cupcake display.
The cupcake toppers were designed by my friend as well.
Originally I was going to try and make the giant cupcake -
luckily Consentino's downtown did a better job than I could!!
We used the monthly monkey pictures as centerpiece decor.
They turned out adorable and I have lots of
requests for copies of the pictures!
"Aunt" Ivy decorated her high chair!
Mady really enjoyed opening her presents.
This book was lots of fun and makes very loud noises :)
After awhile though she started to get a little bored so we moved on to more important things.....
Birthday cake!
Mady wasn't too interested in diving into her cake so her Daddy decorated her face with icing.
All in all it was a great day - we had a lot of fun - ate way too much food - and Mady was once again spoiled by her friends and family. One of the funniest moments of the day was when my niece Ava decided to go "shopping" in Mady's gift pile. She wasn't too happy when she found out all of those toys were for someone else.

To all of you who came and celebrated with us and to everyone who sent birthday wishes from afar - we want to thank you for making our little girl's day so special!!

Turning One!

Holy cow I can't believe my little girl is a year old!! For Mady's actual birthday we took her to Deanna Rose Farmstead for the day and she loved it!! That place is very cool and I can't wait to go back again this summer!

1 Year Picture with her Monkey

As a special treat we took Mady to Chick-fil-A for lunch.
She loved the chicken nuggets and waffle fries!
Mady's "Aunt" Ivy came all the way from Florida for her birthday.
We decided to get in on the fun of being flowers!
Mady thought being a flower was pretty cool too.She spent most of the day looking at all the animals.
These baby goats were our favorites. Right after I took this picture she leaned forward to touch the goat's nose.

Overall it was a great day and it meant a lot to me and Jeremy that we got to spend time together as a family. Hopefully this will be a tradition in the making! Stay tuned for the famous cupcake birthday party post!!

A Wedding

Madelynn had her first wedding of the season - it was a special occassion for her since it was for her Aunt Jennifer. Jeremy's sister Jennifer and her now husband Phil exchanged vows this past weekend. It was a small wedding, with lots of love, and some very good cake!

Aunt Jennifer giving us her Bridezilla look - too cute!

Jennifer and Phil wrote their own vows, it was a very special moment.

They also made their own flowers - which turned out beautifully!!
Here is a close-up of Jennifer's bouquet.

The cake was tasty and still looked gorgeous despite a slight mishap :)
Phil adores Superman hence the groom's cake!

Happy Hunter Family!! Take note of this picture - it will probably be the only time you see Jeremy in pink!

I wish I could have gotten some more pictures, but it was kind of hard to get any pictures taken when you've got an almost one year old monopolizing your time! That's right folks...Miss Mady will be a year old on Friday!! We are so excited to celebrate our little girl's birthday with our friends and family this weekend!!

11 Months...and two weeks...oops!

I apologize....we have been so busy lately with things that I haven't really had a chance to blog!!! So here is a little game of catch up to let you know what we have been up to lately!! Mady turned 11 months old in April - she is getting to be such a big girl!! Some of her favorite things are to cruise around the furniture, chase the cat, give slobbery kisses, crawl all over the couch, and having conversations that we cannot understand a word of!

11 Months - these pictures are getting harder to take!!

Mady is more interested in playing with things that don't belong to her than her toys. Here she is pulling on up on Daddy's surround sound speaker.
One of Mady's favorite games is when you hold her upside down. She loves it!

Mommy and Mady don't get to take very many pictures together.

This week Mady discovered the wonderful world of toilet paper.
I swear I only looked away for a few seconds!!

We are coming up on the big day - that's right - Mady is going to be a year old!!! Jeremy and I are so excited for her party and to celebrate with our friends and family!! After her birthday party we are looking forward to a nice little vacation - no big plans, just some much needed time away from work. After this month of craziness - we are going to need it!
